Continental Trade Exchange Acquires Commercial Barter of Illinois

New Berlin, Wis., September 18, 1998 -- Continental Trade Exchange, Ltd., has acquired the assets and client base of Commercial Barter of Illinois, based in Joliet, IL.

CTE will service the Joliet clients from its office in North Chicago. John Strabley, executive vice president of CTE, stated: "The acquisition of the Commercial Barter client base will give us a stronger presence in the dynamic Chicago marketplace. We are very pleased to welcome these members into our growing barter system."
