International Monetary Systems, Ltd. Holds Annual Shareholders' Meeting at Milwaukee's Fabulous New Art Museum
New Berlin, Wis., June 12, 2002 -- On Wednesday, June 5, 2002, International Monetary Systems, Ltd. held it annual shareholders' meeting in the new Calatrava Wing's meeting room in the landmark Milwaukee Art Museum. The meeting was well attended and several items of business were transacted. The shareholders unanimously elected two new board members and re-elected the three former members: President and C.E.O. Don Mardak, Executive Vice President John Strabley, and Vice President, Dale Mardak. The two new board members are Jerry Van Dyn Hoven, president of the Van Dyn Hoven automotive group of Kaukauna, WI and Wayne Emmer, president of Illinois Cement Company. Shareholders also ratified Smith & Gesteland, LLP of Madison, WI as auditors for the year ending December 31, 2002.
The meeting was concluded with a stirring address by IMS President, Don Mardak, who outlined the company's ongoing plan to roll-up the barter industry through a series of strategic acquisitions. Mr. Mardak also discussed the status of the company's recent Form 211 filing with the N.A.S.D. which will authorize IMS' stock to soon begin trading on the over-the-counter bulletin board.
