Barter Industry Leader Sells Majority Interest in Printing Operations

International Monetary Systems Divests Unprofitable Divisions

New Berlin, Wis., April 22, 2003 -- International Monetary Systems, Ltd. (OTC BB: INLM), a worldwide leader in corporate and consumer barter services, today reported the sale of a majority interest in its printing and prepress subsidiaries to Colorcraft Graphics, Inc. of Menomonee Falls, Wis.

The company said divestiture of the printing divisions, which had a combined loss in excess of $200,000 last year, should have a positive impact on International Monetary Systems' future earnings.

Don Mardak, President and CEO of the barter company, stated: "We are pleased to have this opportunity to turn over the management of the printing divisions to a group of veterans in that field. This, in turn, will free up our management team to devote its time to our core barter business which is growing in profitability."
