International Monetary Systems Barter Expos are a Smashing Success

More than $1.4 million in trades transacted

New Berlin, Wis., December 09, 2004 -- International Monetary Systems, Ltd. (OTC BB: INLM), a worldwide leader in business-to-business barter services, announced today that it has concluded its seasonal series of barter expos and holiday gift shows with record-setting results. The six events, which were hosted in California, Ohio and Wisconsin, generated $1.4 million worth of trade volume. This represented an 8% increase over last year's totals.

Don Mardak, chief executive officer, commented: "The 2004 holiday expos had the largest number of exhibitors and attendees in our history. The record-setting transactions were the result of the high client turnout and the exceptional effort put forth by the members of our staff.
