International Monetary Systems Announces Successful EdgeWater Research Conference

New Berlin, Wis., October 13, 2005 -- International Monetary Systems, Ltd. (OTC BB: INLM), a worldwide leader in business-to-business barter services, today announced that its first ever investment presentation at last week's prestigious EdgeWater Research Conference was a great success. Over 50 investment professionals were introduced to the IMS barter network for the first time. The Company plans on attending additional investor conferences in the months ahead. A full EdgeWater Conference Profile of IMS can be viewed at: www.zangani.com/files/clients/inlm/Edgewater-Research-Overview-INLM.pdf

David Lavigne, Owner and Chief Analyst of EdgeWater Research, commented in INLM's investment profile, "As many of my more seasoned readers can attest, I have a bit of a penchant for stories that are a bit off of the beaten path. That is one of the reasons I enjoy writing general research in micro-cap stocks. Just when I think I have seen every business known to man, one pops up that is largely unlike anything else I have ever seen, and the challenge to understand the business and the opportunities is invigorating. INLM definitely fits that profile."

"Currently, the company is posting profits, and the comps have been good as well, drawing largely from the aggregation of acquisitions made since the time of the comparative periods. In addition, as company announcements attest, they continue to add to the membership base via acquisition; a posture that I think is likely to continue. For example, the company recently released August revenue numbers of $605,000, which implies a revenue run rate of about $7.3 million. Last year, the company posted revenues of $4.7 million. Moreover, the company recently announced some new initiatives to enhance organic growth. In short, it looks as though the company is poised for significant revenue growth beyond historic levels that reflected (albeit modest) positive net income. In my view that posture makes the stock worth a hard look."

Don Mardak, President and CEO of IMS, commented: "It was a pleasure to speak to an influential investor base such as those professionals who attended the EdgeWater Research Conference. My premise for going was to inform key individuals about our barter network and cashless payment system, as it was becoming clear that most investors didn't understand our industry and our commanding role within it. I look forward to presenting at similar conferences in the coming months to increase investor awareness of our growth story."

EdgeWater Research has a recognized presence among many micro cap professionals, including institutions, retail brokers, and investor relations companies. The Edgewater Conference is primarily attended by industry professionals, and uses the money collected from presenters in part to pay for the travel and lodging expenses of these select attendees. Edgewater also prepares an overview of each company, listing pertinent points with a brief research commentary as well. Edgewater's research is distributed to its subscriber base and is also available at www.edgewaterresearch.com.
