International Monetary Systems Barter Expos are a Smashing Success
Record $1.7 million in trade transactions
New Berlin, Wis., December 15, 2005 -- International Monetary Systems, Ltd. (OTC BB: INLM), a worldwide leader in business-to-business barter services, announced today that it has concluded its seasonal series of holiday barter expos with record-setting results. The events, which were hosted in California, Ohio, Tennessee, Connecticut, Nevada and Wisconsin, generated nearly $1.7 million worth of trade volume, which represents a 17% increase over last year's totals. Unlike many barter systems, which double their numbers by listing both the purchase and sale sides of transactions, the IMS trade-volume total consists of sales only.
Don Mardak, chief executive officer, commented: "The 2005 holiday expos had the largest number of exhibitors and attendees in our history. The record-setting transactions were the result of the high client turnout and the exceptional effort put forth by the members of our staff. I can't thank them enough for their dedication and loyalty. As we continue to roll up the barter industry and expand into new geographic areas, we expect to add additional expos in years ahead to increase client visibility."
Fueled by these holiday expos, the company will soon announce sales results for November and December.
