International Monetary Systems Acquires Trade Exchange of the Rockies

Denver Operation adds 500 new clients

New Berlin, Wis., April 13, 2006 -- International Monetary Systems, Ltd. (OTC BB:INLM), a worldwide leader in business-to-business barter services, today announced that it has acquired the assets and client base of Trade Exchange of the Rockies (TER), located in Denver, CO. This transaction represents the company's eighth barter-exchange acquisition in the past twelve months.

International Monetary Systems' CEO Don Mardak stated: "Trade Exchange of the Rockies is a wonderful addition to our rapidly expanding barter network. For the past fifteen years, Bill Stein and his staff have been building a strong client base in a very strategic location. Because we have had much demand for accommodations in Denver and the ski resorts in Vail, Aspen and Steamboat Springs, our company has previously done a good deal of reciprocal trading with TER. Now, all of these facilities will be readily available to us as an integral part of our own network. The acquisition of TER will also add to our continually growing revenues."
