International Monetary Systems Acquires Option to Purchase New York Commerce Group

New Berlin, Wis., August 09, 2006 -- International Monetary Systems, Ltd. (OTCBB:INLM), a worldwide leader in business-to-business barter services, announced today that it has acquired an option to purchase the assets of New York Commerce Group (formerly known as Barter Advantage). During the option period, the companies will operate under a revenue-sharing arrangement.
