International Monetary Systems Announces Successful Conclusion to Series of Barter Expos

New Berlin, Wis., January 08, 2007 -- International Monetary Systems, Ltd. (OTCBB:INLM), a worldwide leader in business-to-business barter services, today announced that its recently concluded series of barter expos produced record results. Trade volume of $2.4 million (one side only) was transacted at the holiday shows, which were held in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Connecticut, New York, Tennessee, California, Nevada and Colorado.

In discussing the results of these events, John Strabley, executive vice president of IMS, stated: "I can't give enough credit to our dedicated employees who put such a tremendous effort into helping us make these annual expos so successful. Our trade volume last year was $1.7 million, so this represents an increase of more than 40%. And equally impressive was the quality of products that were offered by the hundreds of clients who exhibited at these events. I don't believe that any trade exchange has ever had so many hard goods on display. Our clients were able to use their trade dollars to purchase major appliances, automobiles, snowmobiles, computers, HDTV and plasma TV sets, and a host of other desirable products."

Fueled by these barter expos, International Monetary Systems expects to soon announce record sales figures for the fourth quarter of 2006.
