Full case of 12 bottles. The 2023 Bald Mountain Chardonnay is all about terroir. The own rooted 30 year old vines grow deep into the white sandy Zayante soils which is a highly decomposed ancient seabed lifted into the mountains by tectonic movement. The wine has a powerful saline minerality and fine acidity from the cooling ocean breeze. The wine was aged in 20% new French oak that accentuates the terroir of Bald Mountain Vineyard without overpowering it. The palate is medium-light in body with primary fruit flavors or Meyer lemon, yellow apple and crunchy Asian pear.
